Lady in Red

Taking a small break from baby/bump talk to discuss something just as important and unpredictable...
Red Lipstick!

lady in red

I've been searching high and low for a red that would not only work with my skin tone, but something that I would feel comfortable enough to actually wear outside of my house AND not feel like an impostor or a Robert Palmer video chick has-been. After spending what seemed to be hours at Sephora testing out all the reds from every line until my lips were stained and chapped from applying - wiping off - reapplying - wiping off (it was about as much fun as shopping for jeans while bloated and PMSing)... Melis found THE ONE (bless your soul). Of course with my luck, they didn't have anymore in stock, so I ended up ordering it online. Its got a little bit more of orange/pink in it and less blue (which didn't seem to agree with my yellow undertones).

I love you Givenchy Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick #17.

OCM Update

OK so I promised I'd keep you posted on how my skin is doing under my new OCM regimen - (Oil Cleansing Method)... I'm happy to report that my skin is absolutely LOVING it.

It was touch and go at one point, my skin was getting dry on the outside but still producing oil so I decided to switch back to my usual Sonya Dakar cleanser but then I noticed that my skin was just getting worse and worse. So I readjusted the oil formula and further decreased the amount of Castor Oil and my skin is just loving this new batch. I also bought myself a couple of small face towels, which I use wet to wipe off the oil from my face. I think the warm towel is key because it not only removes the oil but it also acts as a steamer/exfoliator. Now I'm not suggesting you rub the crap out of your face, just a gently rub in your problem areas (for me it's my nose, chin - T zone).

I'm definitely loving this stuff. I do have to admit that it's not as easy as using a traditional "soapy" cleanser, but for me, it's definitely worth the effort. My skin is less cloggy and it's not too oily not too dry. I still get the occasional pimple but overall my skin is SO much better than it has been. I'll keep using it and will keep you posted as the warmer weather approaches.

The Oil Cleansing Method

So I'm testing out this new facial skincare regimen - The Oil Cleansing Method. Basically, I've said buh-bye to my Sonia Dakar cleansing lotion and have replaced it with a curious mixture of oils. Why? For no particular reason other than the fact that I love trying new things and I'm easily lured by things that claim to have anything to do with tighter pores, clear, glowing, dewy-looking, free of blackheads & pimples skin! I thought that would get your attention!

The original formula is a mixture of Castor oil and Olive Oil but since I've already tried olive oil and didn't care too much for it, I've replaced it with other oil wonders. It's important to note that Castor Oil is the basis of this method for it's anti-inflammatory, cleansing and healing properties - so in other words, don't replace it.

My first formula was pretty simple, I used a 2:1 ratio of castor oil and jojoba oil. I used that up for a week and noticed a bit of flaking around my nose, did a bit of research and found that I should try decreasing the amount of castor oil in my mixture. Castor oil, because of its cleansing properties has a tendency to dry out your skin, so the make up of yours will determine the ratios that you use. So now I'm on week #2 - with a new and improved formula. I've also added a couple of new oils to the mix - macadamia nut and coconut oil. My skin is really lovin' this stuff! I've noticed that the pores around my nose and forehead are significantly tighter - my skin isn't producing as much oil as it used to 2 weeks ago. I'm no longer sitting in front of my bathroom mirror for an hour pressing and squeezing the crap out of my skin with Hillsy in the background shaking his head in amusement.

So what exactly do I do with the stuff? Well, I just apply it all over my face wait as long as I can (at night, I like to slab it on and wait for 20 minutes) then I use a wet{ish} paper towel (hot/warm water) and gently wipe the stuff off. I really should go to Target and buy a couple of wash cloths. The stuff removes makeup really well so you do not need to remove your makeup beforehand. Then I go about my usual regimen - which is pretty simple, I just use my favorite Sonia Dakar Hydrosoft lotion. In the mornings, when I have time, I like to apply it to my face and leave it on while I'm in the shower - supposedly the extra steam is good - then wipe it off after the shower. Oh and I also scrub my face with a face scrub formula (store-bought) at the end of the week - just for good measure. I guess I still can't get over the fact that my skin hasn't been washed with a soapy bubbling cleanser for more than a week and was getting a bit paranoid. So, I'm not really sure if it's necessary.

What I find fascinating, is that I've always gravitated towards products touting "oil-free" formulas; thinking that since my face was prone to pimples, oil would be the last thing I'd want to slap on my face. Au contraire mon fraire!

So if you're interested in learning more about this, I suggest checking out the links below. I'm waiting to see whether my current formula is worth sharing with the rest of the world (well, I mean the five of you) - I have another two weeks or so to make sure I don't suddenly break out with massive acne cysts. Fingers crossed!

There are TONS of reading material out there, but here's a good place to start...

PS. I've been applying my wonder oil to Hillsy's finger which occasional breaks out with eczema when he's stressed out and it's actually been helping a lot!!!! Hmmm.

Beauty Break: Orange-free tanner

I've heard so much about this Jergens Natural Glow product, apparently sold out in most drug stores. So when I spotted the last one in my local Duane Reade, I didn't hesitate and said why not?

I've been using it for 3 days now and I haven't noticed anything odd. I'm not looking orange, which I guess is a good sign. Although, I think I should be using the medium/tan formula and not medium. Well, I'll let you know how it goes! It does have a slight scent that I'm not loving as much as the Geranium dish washing soap.

Beauty Break: Happy Face

I walked into Duane Reade (drug store) two weeks ago and the St. Ives promotional campaign for their latest Elements line was in full effect. As you already know, I'm a sucker for sandals, packaging... and now - signage and point of sale marketing.

I wanted to buy the whole line, but talked myself into trying the Microdermabrasion Scrub first. I love scrubs (currently using their Apricot one) so it was a no brainer. I've been using it for a week now, maybe twice a week, and I LOVE IT.

Now, I don't believe a scrub can smooth away the appearance of fine lines (I'm not that kind of a sucker) - but what I will say is that every time I use this product at night, I wake up with super super soft skin! To me, that's worth the $10.

Oh and it smells really good!

Holiday Finds

I didn't have much of a choice when it came to books. I was ill prepared and didn't pack one ahead of time, so I was left with only a handful to choose from at the crappy airport magazine store. Like my magazine preference for flights (gossip), I have a few requirements when it comes to holiday books: mindless read, page-turner and of course a chick-flick-esque plot.

I haven't been much of a reader lately, I think mostly due to the time thing. If I am reading, it's usually a crafting or small business how-to book.

Body Surfing certainly fit the bill and I surprisingly liked it. I'm happy to report that the Washington Post were right on the money. It was indeed "An egrossing page-turner". Mind you, I didn't go and over analyze the plot - I read a review which said "The sad part of this novel to me is that Sydney never grows as a character, never learns from her past history. At novel's end she is making the same mistakes she has made all her life. When the intensity of the brothers' competitiveness erupts and leaves Sydney an emotional wreck, one would hope she would grow from the experience. Perish that hope." Hmmm she may have a point, but I'm guessing she wasn't basking in the sun, on her third miami vice at 11am.

My second find was another pleasant surprise. The nice thing about being on a tight budget, is that you get to discover a whole new set of products - drugstore makeup! I was scouring Duane Reade for lipgloss before I left. I was going back and forth between Revlon, Maybelline, Neutrogena and Cover Girl. It must be my loyalty to America's Next Top Model coz I decided on Cover Girl's Wetslicks Original ($6). Surprisingly very light in texture and I was very very happy with the color that I got (Firefly). I give this one a thumbs up, it can definitely compete with Bobbi Brown's or even Chanel's for a 1/4 of the price. This tube is going to last me forever, a little goes a long way!

Fighting Time

It's been tugging at me for about 2 years now but I've managed to ignore it... until this weekend. WRINKLES.

In my teens I used Johnson's Baby Oil as my "sun protection". Late teens, I made a switch to Hawaiian Tropics Bronzing Lotion 2 SPF. In my 20s I noticed that my skin was starting to burn in the sun (never happened before) so I switched to 15 SPF. In my late 20s I developed a weird allergy to the sun - I called it the "Day 2" allergy. My skin is ok if I sit out all day in the sun (protected) for one day, but if I attempt to lay out for a second day, forget it - my skin goes nuts! We're talking red rashes and tiny tiny blisters - not a pretty sight.

So now that I'm in my "30s" (31) I use the highest SPF that I can get my hands on and you can be sure that I'm always under a beach umbrella - at least 95% of the time.

Anyway, I never believed in the whole anti-aging and anti-wrinkle cream, wash, lotion or serum thing... until of course Zandra brings it up. I'm still not fully convinced that a cream can help prevent wrinkles or fight the signs of aging but I guess it couldn't hurt to give it a try? Right? I've been blessed with oily skin (I guess it's the silver lining to adolescent acne issues) and I haven't noticed any lines just yet. So if there's a right time to fight mama nature, I guess it would be now before it's too late - tah tah tah! I thought I'd start off slow and buy something from the drugstore instead of breaking the bank with a La Mer purchase. I chose Olay's Age Defying anti-wrinkle replenishing night cream - saying that 10 times will give you crow's feet so be careful. I chose Olay because I clearly remember my mom using it, along with her mega tub of Ponds Cold Cream. Marketers take note.

My mom just turned 74 a month ago and her skin still looks good - so I'll have what she's having!

I'll let you know how it goes.

** I just found this very interesting article Skin cream science is branded as ‘waffle’.

Defective Voluspa Candle

I'm usually not one of those annoying consumers who complain about everything and anything (unfortunately a.k.a "American" in the rest of the world), but in this case I definitely plan to write at least an email to the company.

If it were a Glade candle that I paid $6 for then fine, a little glass burning would be acceptable in my book. But when I pay over $20 for a candle, I expect it to do its one job right. I'm not really sure what the issue is here, my friend Jee suspects that they might have used the wrong wick size. It also looks like the wick is not 100% centered, thus causing the flame to concentrate on one side versus straight up into the air.

It's a shame because I really loved their 3-wick line but thought I'd give this kind a try. I'm not trying to be difficult, I'm just really disappointed because I love the scent (Vintage Tobacco Vanille) - one of the few that don't make me feel like I'm stuck in a car with my Mother wearing too much perfume (Passion by Elizabeth Taylor).

I'll let you know if they ever get back to me.

How to: Choosing a Haircut for a Round Face

A change in season usually sparks off other changes - haircuts being one of them! I always thought that bangs/fringes weren't for round-faced gals, until I did it a couple of months back and was surprisingly pleased with it. I'm in desperate need of a haircut, which is why I'm writing about this...

So, what's the best way to choose a cut...
Well, celebrities pay stylists thousands of dollars to work wonders so why not take a look at what current famous round-faced gals are doing and learn a few tricks for free? I can appreciate the fact that no one wants to end up looking like a clone of a famous celebrity - (remember the Rachel-phenomenon?) but at the same time, I think we can all learn a thing or two from top stylists who get paid $500 - $1000 a sitting!

Kirsten Dunst, Drew Barrymore, Mandy Moore, Christina Ricci, Kate Winslet and Charlize Theron are few round-faced starlets.

Some things to consider when you have a round face:
- The cut/style should minimize the roundness of your face as much as possible
- Staying below the chin helps elongate the face and again minimizes the roundess.
- Short haircuts are tricky because they have a rounding effect. If you prefer to go short, consider layers because they add height and lengthens your face vs making it look wider. - Styling with a side part will also alleviate the widening effects of a short cut.
- Long hair works well and helps elongates a round face and are much more flattering that short cuts

Beauty-find tested

I wrote about Maybelline's Intense XXL Microfiber Waterproof Mascara a while back and I've been meaning to report my findings...

I layered this stuff on as thick as possible right before my hardest spin class - I wanted to test out the waterproof factor. After 45 minutes of sweat, this stuff stayed on like nobody's business. If anyone has ever seen me after a spin class then you know we're talking miracle product here.

My sister was right, this stuff is awesome! For under $10, you can't beat it. It definitely beats the Lancome stuff I was using before. Now I just need to find myself a good makeup remover... any suggestions?

Oh, I also wanted to see if mascara in general made a difference so I took a before and after shot.

Eyes look so freaky on their own, don't they?

Pep-toe

HAPPY FRIDAY!! Another week zooms by. I had takeout last night from our favorite Thai place, so no recipes I'm afraid. I'll be hitting the food shops this weekend so expect loads of new stuff next week. Have a great weekend everybody.

Like a good blogger, I actually do try and test out as many of the products that I mention (budget-permitting). So without further a do...

Dear Real Simple editors,
Liar liar pants on fire! You obviously did not test this product (OPI La Pazitively Hot) properly before recommending it. Uhmm, I look like I borrowed Barbie goes to the nail salon polish. How could you possibly claim that this color "works for everyone"? Nope, FALSE! Can I have my $8 back?

So you can see it in comparison to a neutral color

I honestly don't even know what to say about this - I'm lost for words.

One last thing, one of my sisters emailed me last night with a product recommendation. It's funny because there's nothing I find more gross than seeing dry cracked heels in sandals. I know that summer is over and I'll be seeing less and less of this, but a little prevention has never hurt anyone.

"Sally Hansen's Just Feet Visible Effect Foot Cream: Instantly smooth & soften dry, rough feet. It is soooo good that they even have a Money-back guarantee. It's only 5.99 for the 4 oz @ Target."

Not having a Target... hmmm another reason to leave the city =)

Beauty: Eye Brightener Update

I went to Sephora yesterday to try the Wonder Wand, Laura Geller. Unfortunately they didn't have the product so I browsed around looking for similar products. Ces, I didn't get a chance to try the Benefit Bright Eye stick, I was too scared to catch an eye disease using the Sephora tester. But I did find a product worthy of a mention - Photo Op Under Eye Brightener (Smashbox). It comes in a tube, a soft brush applicator - the formula is super light and definitely not cakey.

Here's the marketing shpeel:
Photo shoots often start at the crack of dawn when even models and celebs don’t look their best and dark circles loom. That’s why we created this innovative under eye brightener that immediately wakens and brightens skin while adding moisture to prepare for concealer application. Contains lots of skin-boosting ingredients too, like Vitamin C, red wine extract, peptides and marine collagen, to help fill in those nasty little wrinkles.

I can't vouch for the peptides and collagen claims, but I definitely liked the feel of the formula. It wasn't oily or heavy. It had tiny tiny beads of pearly shimmer so it really did highlight the eye area (I applied it all around, even on top). The pearly mini beads allow the light to reflect thus brightening the overall eye area. I wanted to wear it around for a couple of hours before shelling out the $18. I will more than likely go back and make the purchase!

It's available at Sephora or directly from Smashbox (they're currently running a free shipping offer)

Beauty: September Must-try's

I get so excited when I see a stuffed magazine in my tiny mailbox. I also get anxious because I know that I'll soon be ripping out sheets and sheets of must-try products. Here's what caught my eyes this month...

Wonder Wand, Laura Geller
A sheer, light-reflective loose powder for the eyes.

What it does:
Supposedly a small touch of it can make you look more wide awake and refreshed. (sephora.com)

Intense XXL™ Volume & Length Waterproof Microfiber Mascara

What it does:
This mascara creates up to 60% longer lashes and 7X the volume. No clumps And it’s waterproof! (duanereade.com)

Nature's Cure Body Acne Treatment Spray

What it does:
Ever since I started spinning, my back has grown super sensitive to my own sweat! It now tends to break out if i don’t hit the showers immediately. I know, sexxxy. This product claims to clear and prevent acne on hard to reach places. Hmmm, other than the back, I'm not sure I want to know other hard to reach places that could possibly be victimized by acne! (drugstore.com)

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Glow Sheers Natural Radiant Look SPF 30

What it does:
Provide sheer, natural-looking coverage for a radiant glow, plus SPF 30 and skin-friendly anti-oxidants to safeguard skin from environmental damage. Who doesn't want to look radiant and safeguard themselves against radicals?? (drugstore.com)

OPI La paz-itively Hot

What it does:
I know it looks a little out there... a little "I threw up pepto all over my nails and allowed it to set overnight", but it supposedly flatters all skin tones. I think we have about 2 more weeks of fuchsia pink acceptable weather =)
(amazon.com)

Armani, Eyeshadow #1 (Navy)

What it does:
As the weather cools, makeup meltdown will be a thing of the past. I had some bad experiences with blue eyeshadow in my heyday (hi Lyn!) but I think I may be able to redeem myself with this royal blue-toned shadow by my side. (giorgioarmanibeauty.com)

Beauty: Latest encounters (Essie, Flirt! and Nivea)

Happy Friday and it's a 3-day weekend - yay! See you next Tuesday.

Zandra has a day off today and I've suckered her into taking my killer Friday spin class, so I'll be meeting her in Union Square shortly. If we make it out alive, we'll be visiting a couple of fabric shops - can't wait to check out Purl Patchwork. I hope I remember to take pictures.

UPDATE: we ended up going to City Quilter and was happy with the selection that we didn't feel the need to go elsewhere. I bought tons of supplies for animal making!

Anyway, here are my latest beauty finds...

Essie Good to Go!, beauty.com
So you know how much of a treat it is to get your nails done... well, to save money I started doing my own. So I took a trip to Duane Reade to replenish my home supplies. I found two new colors - a nice dark purple color and a nice dark blue one. I also grabbed a bottle of Essie's Good to Go top coat ($10). A little on the pricey side, but it was so worth it. I did my nails last night, the dark vampire color (2 coats) and then topped it with one coat of this stuff. It's even better than Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. I must've smashed my nails into several objects just after 5 minutes of putting it on and no marks! Went to bed shortly and no blanket marks!! This product is true to its name. Incredible.

Flirt DREAMY EYES™ Eyeshadow Palette - Party Purple
I received a sample of this not too long ago. Flirt! along with Vanessa Minnillo, created this exclusive limited edition eye-shadow palette line. I know how some of you can't stand Vanessa Minnillo (and how some of you support her - you know who you are) but I have to say that the product is pretty good. Let's start with the packaging - love it; it slides out so it won't take up to much space in your beauty bag. Colors - love the Party Purple palette. I love purple shadows, I just think it's one of the few colors that work well with most skin tones. The two center shadows add a subtle shimmer to the eyes, a nice highlighting effect. Texture - it's very light so your eyes don't feel caked on. I still have to report back on the longevity factor once the temperature cools off. I don't think it would be fair to judge it when most things generally melt off my face during the summer months. Oh and don't forget to enter to win Flirts! Hit List sweepstakes. You could win two sets of eyeshadow palettes, shiny lipgloss duos, eye pencils, mascara and blush! They just need your name and an email address.

Nivea Dry Confidence Deodorant
So after 1 month of using the new Secret formula, I've decided that it wasn't working the way it used to. I bought 3 different types of deodorant from Boots when I was in the UK. I figured I might as well try as many as I can. I've been using the Nivea one for a couple of weeks now and I love it. I usually don't like roll-ons but this one is great (at least for now). Like all Nivea products, it has a nice light fresh scent. A little sticky when you first put it on, but once it dries I'm good to go. I guess I'll cross my fingers and report back in a month. Unfortunately it's not available in the US so if I do end up liking it past the 1-month mark, I'll have to sweet talk Mrs. H to send over a quarterly care package.

Beauty: Daily Beauty Routine

After reading tons of beauty related magazines this month, I realized that my daily regimen isn't all that bad - compared to what it could be, given the trillions of beauty products available out there.

Side note:
You know what amazes me? The fact that guys can use Zest or Dial soap on their faces, no moisturizers, no scrubs and they still age better? What is up with that? Brett, Tom, Luis, Hillsy... please explain!!

I have Karen to thank for introducing me to the Sonya Dakar line 4 or 5 years ago. It's a little on the pricey side, but I find that it's the only thing that keeps my skin happy. I've tried to find cheaper substitutes, but I just end up with blemishes and dull skin. So, if I can pay good money to keep my feet happy, I shouldn't feel so bad about doing the same for my skin... right?

So here's my daily routine: (my skin is annoyingly oily, but I've been told that oily means less wrinkles - so I guess I should stop complaining about it)

1. Clean my face with the Mud Lavendar (Summer months), Bergamot or Cypress Citrus (colder months) wash at night and in the morning.

2. Moisturize with Hydrosoft Lotion morning and night.

3. At night, I apply a thin coat of Sulfacet (Prescription only) to prevent blemishes - I've been using this since college (thanks Zandra, it was my lifesaver) and the best prescription pimple fighter I've ever tried (and I've tried tons, including Retin-A and Differin)

4. At night, I also apply a small amount of Yonka Phyto Contour around the eye area. Unlike most women who have issues with dark circles, I have puffy-eye issues and this stuff is incredible. Although, I must say that if you are highly sensitive, some users have reported a slight burning-like sensation. I've personally never had this experience before, but I had recommended it to my friend Marissa (who has very sensitive skin) and the rosemary essence just didn't click with her.

What's your daily beauty routine? Do you have any product recommendations? Any age-defying tips?

Beauty: Kiehls

This morning I read that Kiehls will be adding more products to their Dermatologist Solutions line (I didn't even realize that they had one). I haven't purchased anything from Kiehls in such a long time. I remember being obsessed with the brand back in college, they had so much editorial coverage back then and I always loved that fact that they were never stingy with samples. I remember trying two of their toners (Blue Astringent and Tea Tree Oil formulas) hoping that it would help clear up my skin - unfortunately it didn't. I always thought that Kiehls would be a perfect beauty line if only I had decent skin, it just wasn't strong enough to combat acne-based issues. Fortunately for me, Zandra introduced me to Sulfacet (Rx only) junior year and I said buh-bye to acne! So maybe I'll give them a try again, although I'm very happy with my current beauty regimen (hmmm, sounds like a post idea - I love finding out about other people's regimens)

To my 3 male readers: (or girlfriends, moms and sisters)

I highly recommend the Ultimate Brushless Shave Cream - White Eagle or the Blue Eagle formula if you have sensitive skin. I bought this for my ex-husband years and years ago and it even outlasted our marriage =) Facial Fuel is also another great product.

Anyway, I hopped over to the Kiehls site and realized that they've redesigned it since I was last there (a long time ago). The site looks good, they've even incorporated customer reviews. I also can't believe they have a "For your Dog" line. Free ground shipping for $75 orders and up.

Beauty: From Russia with love

I'm not one to have dark fingernails but I'm loving these fall colors from OPI (Russian Collection) and ESSIE.
(Left to right: Suzi Says Da!, Midnight in Moscow, Siberian Nights, Russian Navy and Essie's Material Girl)

Getting a manicure & pedicure from my favorite manicurist Mary is such a treat. I used to bite my fingernails when I was younger, until my mother eventually applied hot pepper flavored nail biting liquid on them. I quickly kicked that habit! I still, however, have the habit of picking the skin around my nails as well as my cuticles. I find that I do this less when my nails are manicured (either by me or professionally). I can also tell it's time for another one, once the picking starts again!

Mary is a perfectionist and will not rest until all cuticles and hangnails have been dealt with. Her $21 manicure/pedicure beats any $50 treatments at fancier establishments. I once got a free mani/pedicure at the Frederic Fekkai salon in Beverly Hills (I was chaperoning a group of sweepstakes winners and one of them never showed up for the treatment, so I was lucky enough to take her place.) Although they probably used a triple-cocoa-butter-exfoliating-madagascar-vanilla infused serum creme cuticle softener, Mary's techniques still win hands down. Mary works at Nail 45 in midtown, tell her I sent you (but don't be late, she's also a stickler when it comes to appointments!)

"The freedom of freshness": Secret Clinical Strength

I first heard about Secret Clinical Strength back in March from one of my favorite blogs Not Martha (this was the first blog that I ever read, wow it's been like 5+ years - we all know that that's a record). Surprisingly, it took me a while to find it around here and I never really thought about ordering it online. I finally found it at Rite Aid (1st Ave/5th Street), of all places!?! That place is such a mess and they never have anything in stock. But the world's friendliest cashier works there. I don't know her name, but she is always so cheery and always makes it a point to be nice. If I ever open up my shop, I'm going to recruit her.

WARNING: You are about to experience TMI*...
Let's just say that I have a slight sweating issue during the summer months. Fortunately for the public, it's only a sweating issue and not a smelly one. It tends to act up when I'm wearing tops that have sleeves that cut right at the pits or if I wear non-absorbent fabrics or blends. So anyway, I was so excited to use it the following morning but didn't realize/remember that the stuff had to be applied at night for "optimal performance". I was way too excited to wait another day, so I chanced it and applied it in the morning and left for work. It didn't work so well.

It's been a month since I started using the stuff and it works like a charm. I highly recommend it. I don't even have to apply it at night (only when I remember to). I also don't apply 2 clicks per pit, more like 1 click. Another plus is its light scent, it isn't overwhelming at all. One negative is, like most deodorants, it does rub off on clothes. What's up with that? You'd think someone would be able to figure this out? Even the Degree product that claims to have fixed the issue does not work.

I'm really happy with it, but I'm going to switch to another brand (let me know if you have any recommendations) once I'm through with the tube. Like everything else in life, I believe it pays to switch out beauty products every now and then. I strongly believe that deodorant is one of those products that loses its spark & effectiveness once you get accustomed to the formula - shampoo is another one.

So give it a try if you're willing to admit that "your body chemistry causes you to perspire more than the average woman..." Check out secret.com, it has videos and everything!
