Christmas Present

Hillsy gave me an Anthropolgie gift card for Christmas and I've been holding on to it for sooooo long, finally used it up for these lovelies (Don't Look Down Platforms/Frye)....

I'm officially in love with them (summer shoe #2). So THERE IS a difference between real leather and TARGET "leather". OH-MY-GOD the leather is buttery soft, like buttah baby.

PS. I admittedly have a shoe problem. This I know.

Imelda strikes again

I really should go down in the basement and count how many pairs of shoes I have that I've worn once... but that doesn't sound fun so instead I'll share my faves from Piperlime's 20% off today-only sale - promocode TREAT (sorry Raul!)

1. SeychellesAraxi
2. DV by Dolce VitaDainty
3. Mia Mystical (looks just like my favorite sandals from last year that I wore EVERYday that desperately need to be replaced)
4. Kenneth Cole Gem-erama
5. Ciao Bella Adriana

PS. Did I mention I ordered two pairs from Anthropologie (will share tomorrow) this weekend, but that doesn't count because I used a giftcard I received from Christmas - alright, so it didn't cover the entire balance... but the intentions were there.... give me a break people!

** OH almost forgot! A couple of links to help counter any shoe purchases that this post might have caused:

:: The lovely folks from Snuggle sent me an email offering readers $2 off their latest product Snuggle Creme
:: Coupon Cabin - a new online promo coupon hub (via dailycandy) $5 off Target what??

Check out the Chucks...

I've been looking high and low for comfy everyday shoes and the hunt is finally over!!!

Introducing my new Converse Chuck Taylor® All Star® Shearling Ox sneakies... I ordered them from Zappos.com, who along with Piperlime.com and Endless.com have revolutionized online shoe shopping. I can't remember the last time I bought shoes from an actual store.

Comfy and toasty, I love them =)
I am a dork - I was prancing around the apartment all night with them on, because I was super excited to wear them.

New Frye Collection Sizzles

I've been spotting FRYEs everywhere.
These riding boots look perfect for wearing over slim jeans (not to mention it's a Rachel Zoe top pick) and the Liv platform is equipped with a hidden height-enhancer?!?

Top Picks: Boots

I couldn't resist the Dr. Martens lace-up boots (above) and had to have them. So I ordered them from Free People on Friday and was inspired to share some of my top picks for riding & military-esque boots for this fall. Unfortunately, I've been blessed with flat feet and can't stand being in heels for more than 5 minutes so I'm always on the hunt for comfy shoes.

Top:
Anna Sui - Metallic leather biker boots (NET-A-PORTER); Forever Braid Boot (Free People); French Connection - Rock Chic (Zappos)
Bottom:
Dr. Martens - Triumph Boot (Free People); Camper - Stuart (Zappos)

Urban Finds

Happy Friday... here's some weekend shopping inspiration:

I finally got around to checking out the latest Urban Outfitters catalog I received a while ago. Looks like they've changed the format/size, it's now as big as W (I think). I have to admit that they've massively improved their home department. Although I'm still a little uneasy about the whole crafter-knockoff issue. But if you live in the city, don't have a car, can't convince yourself to take the Path train to IKEA, and don't have much cash to spend on decorating your home... AND can live with yourself... it's not a bad alternative =)

I'm also a sucker for anything remotely close to teal/peacock green and pink frilly tops. Those sandals + thick tights = cute for the fall ;-)

Wishlist

If I had an income... and if I could ever convince myself to pay more than $200 for a handbag.

I wish I could, but for now I'll just window shop and leave the shopping up to you guys:
1. Bell Wether Dress, Anthroplogie
2. Gibson Girl Boots, Anthropologie
3. L Frank Stacked Rings, these rings would make great wedding rings. Twist
4. Marc by Marc Jacobs - Dr Q Delancey Tote, Barneys
5. Costes by Hotel Costes, Apothia or at Aedes de Menustas

As for the home...

I could potentially save us for these lovelies:
1 & 2: Martha Stewart comes to Macys. Martha can you please adopt me?
3. I still need to get myself a Kitchen Aid Mixer. I've seen them cheaper on eBay.
4. I saw this cute grater in a small gift shop called Random near my neighborhood but unfortunately she doesn't have a website. You can also get it from fantes.com or chikado.nl or at inhouse-uk.com.

Thanks to Bag Snob for sharing the Marc Jacobs bag and A Little Sussy for the L Frank Tri Gold ring.

Watch out Zappos, Amazon's got a brand new site...

Amazon.com has a launched a new site dedicated to shoes and handbags at Endless.com. They have a special promotion going on right now where they pay you for overnight shipping! For a limited time, they'll take off $5 from your order for the privilege of shipping overnight to you. I haven't had a chance to browse around yet but thought I'd pass on the info. Maybe I'll test them out and buy my wellies from them! Unfortunately they currently don't ship outside the US.

These boots are made for singing in the rain

I'm in the market for new rain boots or wellies as the brit would say. My current ones have this really bad odor, they smell like car tires. I wore them all year and walked around smelling like Jiffy Lube.

Too many options, I can't decide! Here are a few of my picks:
Left to right: Yellow Steve Madden Trixee $45 Piperlime.com, Chooka Tiny Whales $60 Piperlime.com, J.Crew Bright Solid Wellies $59.50, J.Crew Wellies with Laces $68, Polkadot Rain Boots $39.50 Alloy.com

Not your granny's kicks...

Many many many years ago (back in Junior High), I always looked forward to going back to school - not so much for the education but for the back-to-school shopping =)

Each year meant a bright new pair of white KEDS, slouchy socks and the famous canvas binders!

I'm really loving all these slip-ons. You can buy the Nanette Lepore Acid Yellow Keds, the Converse slip ons and the Roxy ones from Piperlime. The cute red one is from Urban Outfitters. If you love Zappos, you 'll also love Piperlime. They have the same free shipping both ways policy, but unlike Zappos - they don't have the free next day delivery option. But your shoes come in a really cute box with the famous green lime design.
