Weekend Projects
Happy Monday! (1 week and 4 more days to go...)
I kept myself VERY busy this weekend and continued my nesting activities. I finally settled on a new furniture arrangement for our dining room. I can't even tell you how many times I moved that dining table two feet to the right, to the left, then back again, just to have it end up in its original location. I decided to give the green bookcase/hutch a new home and moved it all the way across the room and then created a little sitting space right across from it (taking a few pieces from the living room). A few before shots here and here. Now if I could just afford to buy a huge rug to fit under our dining table!!
I also tried a new Oatmeal Raisin and Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe - I liked the overall texture and the whole soaking of the raisins technique, but I will probably leave out the ginger and decrease the amount of nutmeg by half or just leave it out as well next time I make it. Give it a try when you get a chance, I think it's a great recipe (they turned out really moist and chewy) and if you have a thing for cookies that are more on the spicy side then you'll really love these!

thx Karen, let's see how long it'll last until I decide to move it again :)
I'm obsessed with your decorating style! So simple and creative! I think I would feel very at peace in your house.

Thanks Mary!!
Melis, you know I was totally channeling you while figuring out how/where to hang those prints!!
You truly have a beautiful house! Some gorgeous colour selections x
Hi Leah, I'm always so self-conscious about my color choices and using way too many... so thank you!
So beautiful! I love the art & the simple soda bottle vases :) Also just wanted to pop in and offer a little support as you are almost at the END of your pregnancy!! I just had my first baby 5 weeks ago, so the experience is all very fresh in my mind if you have any questions, lol!
Hi Marichelle! I've just found your blog, congrats on the birth of your beautiful little girl!! I am a month and a half away from the arrival of my little Adeline! Just wanted to let you know I think your blog is great and I wouldn't sweat a rug under your table, it looks so beautiful and airy without it! Good luck with everything! I'll be reading.
