Bedroom Revamp in progress

Our home has three bedrooms - our room, a small guest room and the craftroom/office which I'm in the midst of clearing out coz it will soon be the baby's room. At first I was planning to somehow incorporate a small office/crafting space in our living room area (2nd photo). After thinking about it for a couple of weeks, I nixed that idea and was determined to bring it all into our already too small bedroom!!

First step? I bought huge plastic bins from Target and boxed up a bunch of crafting supplies that I haven't touched in ions. I mean, let's be real... once the baby comes, I don't think I'll be sewing, stamp carving or needle felting anytime soon!

Our bedroom (not really sure what I was thinking when I put the bed against this wall - leaving no room for side tables) had to be completely rearranged in order to make it work, so I've spent the last couple of weeks moving furniture around (very carefully). I'm not done yet, but wanted to share my progress. I'm so happy with how it's turning out, it's so much more functional now!! I've definitely been spending a lot more time in there.

Deb's lovely shelves can be seen here (4th picture down). Crossing my fingers on this one, I really hope I can recreate her magic! Taking a trip out to Home Depot soon to check out some lumber :)

oh...that thing over the bed is excellent! it's kind of like a necklace. i'm going to try that. our over-bed-wall is so painfully bare!

and i love your choice of the gray walls...so soothing.

Looks good so far :)

Thanks Susy! That was my issue too, we don't have a headboard and I wasn't planning on getting one AND I didn't want to go down the decal road so the bunting garland is perfect - you can change the outline/pattern instantly just by moving a couple of nails!

Thanks Amber!!

Love the paint color. What brand/color did you use? I'm looking for that exact color for my bedroom.
