A night out with the girls
I've written about how my girlfriends and I don't get to hang out as often as we used to and how much I miss it...
Well, we all got together on Saturday for a bachelorette party. I had such a great time! The festivities began at Cafeteria for brunch. It was my first time there and boy did this place have energy. Zandra and I were barely awake and everyone in this place seemed like they've been partying all night and morning. The food was pretty good - I had the Farmer's Frittata.
Next stop Graceful Spa Services, where we all got an hour massage ($60 - not bad!) After the massage, we all went home to get ready for the next event...
Zandra hosted a cocktail and hors d'oeuvre party - where we also surprised the bachelorette with this...
It was so funny because at first she thought that we got her a female stripper! She was actually our striptease instructor from the Diva School. We initially had some reservations about this, but it turned out to be so much fun - and what a workout!!! We had the best instructor and the best time. She broke it up into sections - from the basics to chair and floor moves. The bottles of wine and Karen's special Lychee martinis certainly helped us loosen up and made making fools of ourselves much easier. If you're planning a bachelorette party, I highly highly recommend the in-home striptease class. It was so much fun, we couldn't stop laughing. They're supposedly going to start offering pole dancing lessons - we're so doing that for Zandra's up-coming bachelorette party =)
The last and final stop was a lounge in Chelsea where we met a bunch of other people from our college years. I had so much fun dancing and making a fool of myself...
Let's just say Sunday was spent recuperating =)
