DIY: IKEA Mirror Revamp

DIY: IKEA mirror revamp

I'm not 100% sure whether or not I like the final result of this project. I've decided to keep it up for a little bit and see how I feel about it after the weekend. I was just so sick of my cheapo IKEA Kolja mirror - it looked so dull and out of place that it was either a) toss it or b) do something to it. So this was my second attempt at B. I first tried framing it with fairy lights but the white Christmas tree lights I had were way too long and bulkier than what I had in mind.

I basically took doilies, folded them in half and double-sided taped them all around the mirror (tucking in the back half behind the mirror). I guess we'll see if this makes the cut!

See, if I had tried that, it would look like a dogs dinner, but with you - awesome stylishness. I love it.

really cute! i could also see adding a ribbon tied all around the edge of the mirror for a nice finish.

I'm a sucker for all things DIY and I think you've done a marvellous job here. I really like it. Add's a bit of softness to the mirror. I'm thinking I might have to try this myself. Well done!
