Family

We just got back from visiting my family (sister + mom + dad) in California - it was a week full of giggles, endless bingeing on my favorite Filipino foods/drinks, exchanging both old and new stories and I guess a few hidden tears (goodbyes are always hard).

My brothers and sisters from Texas were also there (there are six of us, I'm the youngest) so it was a full house at my sister's, but we loved every second of it. Having a big family is awesome, but unfortunately we only get together once a year (twice if we're lucky). It's been getting more and more difficult to schedule our get-togethers as our own families grow and my nieces/nephews get older (not to mention the cost of flying). Wouldn't it be nice to win the lottery so I could fund all of our reunions?

I'm always scrounging for old photos when I visit family. This one was taken when I was around three. I remember this day like it was yesterday... I spent the whole morning crying because my mom was going away for the weekend with her coworkers and I of course wanted to tag along. I guess she couldn't take all the fussing and decided to take me along :)

PS. The little one is now steadily moving about the cabin and has been keeping me up lately. It's so strange seeing parts of my stomach popping up here and there!

Unfortunately I only have 1 handful of pics of my childhood so I definitely treasure each and every one of them!
