Natural born artists

Maybe it's because I don't have kids and I don't have piles and piles of Kindegarten art, but I LOVE children's artwork.

My sister posted some of my nephew's latest masterpieces on our family blog and I just fell in love with this one and asked her to send it to me. I love the clouds, they remind me of pac man monsters and the blue and grey shades are PERFECT.

Artists often strive to emulate the innocent, whimsical, fancy-free style that all kids seem to naturally possess. At what point do we lose this view of the world?

i love children's art, too! i recently did some finger painting and it was sooo much fun to just get my hands messy.

i'd love to be able to recapture the "disconnect" between over thinking things and just letting it flow.

for some, when people start saying "that's a (insert thing here)?" after that, realism becomes religion.
