A step beyond leaving it be

bedazzledjar

A simple gift. I wish I had time to give glass etching a go, but until then I guess adding a strip of Japanese tape to a recycled pickle jar will have to do! I guess you could also wrap the twine around the jar over some of the tape and glue it down for more pizazz (as I've seen others do) - two steps beyond...

you could also add a border of flowers around the tape, maybe in the form of stickers or stencils, but maybe that is a step to far as you know i am no crafter but i thought it would be pretty.like the arrangement ,very nice.x

So pretty! And to think I've recycled all my pickle jars! Thanks for the better idea. Reuse THEN recycle!

pretty + simple. i have all those things as i'm a jar keeper for this reason alone. i don't have one large table but it looks like i can line a few of my smaller pieces in pretty horizontal stripes. nice gift for a hostess, too!
