Marichelle! I have these black leather chairs that came with my black round pedestal dining table. But it's all just too black! I've had it for over a year, so its basically brand new. I wish I could change the chairs, and have been trying to sell them on craiglist, but no one's biting. Is there any way I can upholster the chair?? It's all black leather (seat and back), similar to this pottery barn chair: http://www.potterybarn.com/products/p3631/index.cfm?pkey=cchairs

Barbara, thank you so much!!
Julles, I'm not sure how the cushions are attached. Have a look under to see if you can unscrew the backrest and actual seat apart... but i highly doubt it. Even if they were removable, you wouldn't be able to do this "down and dirty method" because of the backrest. One option you have is to get someone to sew fitted slipcovers? Pbly not what you wanted to hear. But slipcovers when done nicely, aren't so bad. But I guess you have to outweigh the cost of getting them done with buying chairs that you actually really love. Or you could try finding more fitted slips like this one (not necessarily in suede) http://tinyurl.com/8haoot

hmmm. not sure if that was helpful :/
